About the programme The stress response is a perfectly normal physiological reaction to certain situations in which we may find ourselves. We believe it is wrong to try to stifle what is, after all, the body’s natural defence mechanism. We should, however, be aware of the effects of prolonged stress and seek to manage these situations in a proactive manner. The opportunity exists to use the effect as a springboard to greater personal effectiveness. The Rahman Stress Profile is designed to give a detailed analysis of those areas of one’s life in which stress may occur and look at the individual’s propensity towards higher levels of stress in certain areas given his/her background and personality traits. This is the first part of the process, and requires around an hour of the person’s time to complete a questionnaire. The individual then attends a two day Pressure to Performance seminar. Armed with a full analysis and report of our findings from the questionnaire, he/she will learn how to reduce the potentially harmful effects of long term stress using a combination of mental and physical techniques. He/she will benefit from an in depth look at the lifestyle choices we make that affect our wellbeing. The emphasis is on practical tools to move from Pressure to Performance, and a valuable insight is gained into how tools such as time management and assertiveness skills can bring more effective use of our inner resources.
